I would like to be able to keep up with my daughter.  The one who runs xc, not the one who's going to change the world through dance.  Although I would like to be able to dance also, so I change that to me wanting to be able to keep up with both my daughters.

I usually don't have advice, because I'm not an authority on running.  This will be different as I will speak from experience.  Don't run unfamiliar trails at night.  Sprained my ankle on mile 7.  I counted the .5 mile limp back.  I thought a flashlight was good enough...

CRAP!!! I am so sorry about the ankle! DANG IT ALL TO HECK!!! :D I promise, I will never run an unfamiliar trail at night. I will learn from your mistake :) Thank you for sacrificing yourself for all of our benifits :D Way to take one for the team!

How bad is is? Were you really running or were you playing cards again? ;)

Hang in there :)

Monte, Montel, (what is your name?)--

STINK!! What were you thinking??? Hope you are icing it. Get that swelling down.

Better have a few extra gummi bears. :)

Keep us up to date on how you are feeling. Laters.

Your name is MIKE!! Hallelujah ... I just read your nickname comment!! Hate that for whatever reason the blog does not notify me when someone has left a post. So I am constantly having to try and go back and look at things. Maybe I need to put a different email account on my personal info (perhaps there something weird about the comcast.net --who knows). Btw, LOVE THE NICKNAME!!!

Not bad. Doctor said no running for a month, so I'll be gliding elliptically and biking stationarily.

BTW, I don't have narcolepsy. Apparently, I suffer from an incurable case of rudeness. It's not polite to take a nap in class, even if the instructor is explaining acronyms with other acronyms.

You're probably right ... probably not the best idea to fall asleep in class. Can you wear sunglasses? I'm guess not!! Guess you'll just have to load yourself with gummi bears and hope the sugar high gets you through!! Good luck!

Bummer!!! I think you may have tripped up to teach others a lesson, too bad you were the one to suffer!!! Marion, I thought of you!!!!!! Take note!!!! Take care and enjoy the cross training!!

The flashlight would have been enough... I see you left out part of the story :)

From montelepsy on Mon, Oct 06, 2008 at 04:12:15

When you run with a flashlight you should probably point it where you're running.

I should have attached to my head somehow or held it in my mouth instead of holding it while pumping my arms.
