I would like to be able to keep up with my daughter.  The one who runs xc, not the one who's going to change the world through dance.  Although I would like to be able to dance also, so I change that to me wanting to be able to keep up with both my daughters.

Woke up an hour later than usual and my RHR was 10bpm higher. 

Ate a whole med Pizza Hut pan pizza for lunch, but resisted the gummi bears.

30 minutes of cals after work.

30 minutes of cals; 1 hour on the stationary bike on hill intervals

Ankle's sore, so no more dreadmill.  Unfortunately I can't see the TV from the bike.

My first spin class was this morning.  I was thrown off by the ambiguity.  There were no numbers on the dial yet the instructor was shouting out all kinds.  It was a good experience overall, and I'll do it some more if I ever wake up that early again. 

Early to bed, early to rise... does not apply to everyone, Ben.

Yoga.  The kind of yoga that made me wish the doors did not have windows.  Lying on your back while grabbing your feet to pull your knees by your ears is hard if you're laughing.

Made it to spin this morning!  43 minutes of wishing I got there early enough to get a bike with a drink holder.

Did an Abs class last night. I'm unable to keep up with the squirrel-voiced instructor.  She's a madwoman.

This morning got my cals down to just over 20 minutes.  Who knows what the night has in store.  Hopefully it's cards and not working out.

Spin class this morning was packed.  Bike had a drinkholder, but the seat was loose.  Judging by the puddle on the floor and the appearance that I wet myself, it was a great workout.

Abs is tonight.  I will face off against, abwoman.  I will lose, but I will continue to go.

Abs wasn't too bad last night, even after overeating again.  Too many people are leaving and having going away parties.  They should have going away runs or something besides let's stuff our face celebrations. 

Cals took over 26 minutes today.  A lot more resting than usual. 

Stationary biked for 90 minutes.   Ankle is still too angry at me to run. 

Half day at work today, Yippee!

Spin class. I'm getting the hang of the early morning routine, but I'm concerned I'm not getting enough sleep.  My RHR is 20% higher than usual.

For the past month I've been testing myself on Cals once a week, after starting abs class my situp score went down.  I was expecting them to get better.  Maybe they're prettier?  Next week if I don't see an improvement, I'll have a word with squirrel lady.

Big disappointment this morning.  Went out for a hearts/minds mission to pass out toys at an elementary school.  When we arrived a Ministry of Education official was there and said we would not be able to interact with the children.  The good thing is, the kids still recieved the toys.   

There was one little girl who kept peeking out of a classroom who couldn't contain her grin, so we know that they would definitely be appreciated by someone.

50% more Cals, but 3x as long.  Lots of rest between sets.

Cals in the morning.  Took 55 minutes, 11 minutes off Mon.  Can't wait to start running.  I'm going stir crazy.  The cake was all gone when I went back last night. Bittersweetness, I could have used the comfort food, but I don't need the calories.  Abs class will be offered on Saturdays now, but she cut the time from an hour to thirty minutes.

45 minutes of Cals, cut 10 minutes off. 

65 minutes on a real bike until the seat became too uncomfortable, then 30 minutes on the stationary.

Pedaled like a maniac this morning.

Already knew Maddy was a stud.

Found out biscuits and gravy is a whole mess of calories.  Much messier than I previously thought.

Abs tonight.

Ankle's still tender.

Weekly assessment: Sit-ups went down 5; pull-ups up 3; push-ups up 5

Flaked on Abs class.  Went to a friend's b-day dinner instead.  I found out about it after I ate dinner.  I treated myself to carrot cake at dinner because I ate healthy all day.

At second dinner I ate a calzone and had a lemonade.  I learned my lesson. 

Next time I eat healthy for a day, I'm going to treat myself to cake, calzone and lemonade.  It was a great combination.

Yoga. By far the goofiest workout I've ever had.  The narrator kept going on about glands.  Supposedly I worked my thyroid, but why is my pancreas sore?  Is the pancreas a gland?

Spin.  I really need to invest in some padded shorts.  Abs class with a focus on obliques.  Didn't care for it, mainly because my obliques are weak.

Cals done in 58 minutes, much better than 1hr 53 minutes on Mon.  Probably because I shut off the 0430 alarm and slept in til 0630.

Got up at O wacko thirty to spin, but all the bikes were taken.  Used the stairmaster until an elliptical was open.  Stairmasters are evil.

* Rode a bike to Abs tonight.  Was able to keep up with the instructor for the first time!  Also had a terrible view.  I was directly behind hairy, too-short shorts man.  Almost went blind when I looked ahead during planks.  Gotta take the good with the bad.

Ran for the first time in 4 weeks. :) Super slow so as not to anger my ankle.  Ankle feels fine.  Did half the cals in the same amount of time it took Wed.   I'll try to do the other half tonight.

Finished my Cals last night after work.  Finished a 15 week program that I've been trying to do off and on for the past 7 years.  Not playing with my xbox has made me very productive.  Now I've got to get creative and find something else to do.

Hit snooze and missed spin.  When I finally did get up I went for a run. :) 

I went a little faster than prudent.  I saw a unit running in formation a quarter mile off and decided to pass them.  When I passed them I decided to pass them by a lot.  When I turned around to go back they did too.  Then I decided to pass them again.  When I passed them again, I decided to pass them by a lot.  Overall, they weren't running very fast, and I know they weren't racing me.  But it still felt good.

Power yoga that made me feel powerless. 

Everything's sore from running again.  Except my ankle. :)

I understand why my shins and calves hurt, but why are my inner thighs aching?

Slow.  Enjoyed the great weather.  Cloudy with a cool breeze. 

Started kettlebell program.  Very uncomfortable for my wrists and forearms.  Add padded longsleeve gloves to my wishlist.  Or oven mitts.

Resting from running.

Kettlebells.  Watched the Russian Kettlebell Challenge dvd.  Pavel did not have a voice like a chipmunk, but he kept calling me comrade.  It made me chuckle when he said this would help melt fat without the dishonor of aerobics or dieting. 

On the scale of dishonor I wonder where spinning to techno falls? 

I may have to commit hari kari to redeem myself after yoga with spandex ponytail man.

 Short run to spin. Went to the evening class, since I hit snooze this morning.  Different instructor at night and a very different approach to training.  I was dying, so I liked it.  Abs afterwards. 
The teacher was upset with us because no one told her that she had some hair sticking straight up like alfalfa last class.  How was I supposed to know?  Anyway she took it out on my poor obliques. :(

Accepted a ride back to work to be social.
