Can you smuggle some of those kids home? You know I always wanted a big family, and our "baby" is almost 13...

Have you tried out any of your Arabic on the kids? I bet they'd get a kick out of it :)

From kelsey on Tue, Nov 04, 2008 at 16:20:09

Awesome!!! And you got to see the kids this time, so that's cool!

Guys,

It was a lot of fun and made me really homesick.

Hon,

I'll try to bring a couple home. Keep in mind that I wasn't able smuggle 4 oz of toothpaste, so I can't promise anything. I didn't speak Arabic as I couldn't string my vocabulary of "fish" and "elephant" into a conversation.

From kungfublonde on Wed, Nov 05, 2008 at 01:21:19

can't you say "red," too? Put "red" and "fish" together. They'll think you mean "red herring" and assume, correctly, that you are brilliant.

I don't know the gender of fish so I don't know whether to use feminine or masculine red.

I can say red car. Cars are feminine, by the way.

Herring is my favorite fish. Especially Herring maidens!

Mike - I love the picture. I'm glad that you were able to interact with the children this time (unlike the school). Those kids are ADORABLE! I'm sure you can fit one in your bag. I've seen how big those bags are, and they are all so little.

What a cool thing to do! Glad to see the kids look happy too.

I didn't post the pictures of the children that looked unhappy. jk.
