Made it to spin this morning!  43 minutes of wishing I got there early enough to get a bike with a drink holder.

What time is it right now where you are at? Funny to read a Tuesday report on a Monday evening!! :)

Glad you got to your spin class -- sorry you didn't get the drink holder. That stinks.

Where can I send your 26.2 gummi bears??

From montelepsy on Tue, Oct 07, 2008 at 00:07:27

It's 7:05 am here. No need to send anything, but I appreciate the offer.

We're 10 hours ahead of Pacific time. Once everyone else falls back, we'll be 11 hours ahead since we didn't spring forward.

That seems pretty crazy.

Just let me know if you ever run low!! :)

Have a great day!!

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 07, 2008 at 00:17:09

we worked out at the same time :)

So what did you think about spin class? I'm taking a do-over on mine too, on Wednesday.

And give yourself credit; you outran Harvey. A couple of times!

From Camille on Tue, Oct 07, 2008 at 10:27:30

What exactly is spin class? I hear about spin class and can't help but think of women with long ribbons doing rhythmic gynamstics. I don't know why that is.

From kellies on Tue, Oct 07, 2008 at 12:38:38

Impressive dilligence with the spin class. I have tempted to go to a few here and there but can never stick with them, they are too much work. So, I am assuming you are in the Air Force, stationed in Iraq? I have a brother who is in the Air Force, he is stationed in Valdosta, GA. You will have to let me know. Way to go with your exercise regimen, so consistent. Impressive!

More spinning! Great job! That O'dark hundred business is too much for me!

From montelepsy on Tue, Oct 07, 2008 at 13:51:45

Sensei,

I'm getting the hang of it. It's been so long since I've been on a bike that my rear's pretty sore afterward. I think it would be great for you. It was something I could do when I was recovering from surgery without bothering my knees too much.

Camille,

Spinning is a marketing term for stationary bicycling. The one I go to is pretty subjective, with the instructor shouting out numbers corresponding to how much effort you need to give. I like it.

Kellies,

I'm prior AF, currently an Army civilian. Future, back in the Air Force. As far as motivation is concerned, I'm unable to run for a while so I've got to do something. :)

Marion,

I'm like you. It's too much for me too, but I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I do get up.

From Camille on Tue, Oct 07, 2008 at 13:54:24

Thanks for the explanation! That makes since. These aren't typical exercise bikes then, but more like real bikes?

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 07, 2008 at 14:01:46

It isn't too much for you, because you do it. Just like how you try to say you have a fear of heights, yet you love to skydive and bungee jump.

It always makes me laugh how you look me in the eyes and say you can't do something as you are doing it.

As for spinning, I'll let you know what I think after my first real class tomorrow...

From montelepsy on Tue, Oct 07, 2008 at 14:10:15

Camille,

They are stationary bikes that use flywheels with a knob to adjust resistance.

Honey,

I just like looking into your eyes.

That was a lot more romantic than your line about loving being in a relationship with me because I'm a mamal :)
