I would like to be able to keep up with my daughter.  The one who runs xc, not the one who's going to change the world through dance.  Although I would like to be able to dance also, so I change that to me wanting to be able to keep up with both my daughters.

First Abs, now yoga was cancelled! Did some downward facing dog and tried touching my toes.  But I need a lycra-wrapped coach for motivation.

I'm due for my weekly Cal assessment, but I'm putting it off because... Just because I can.

*

Pullups down 5 from last week.  My arms felt like spaghetti.  Spaghetti with pain sauce.

Situps up 8 and a PR!  Maybe due to the rest from Abs being cancelled the day before.

Pushups no change.  Can you say plateau?

I'm not happy with the results.  I wonder what's going on.

You make me smile. I love reading your posts!

You're making me blush Camille.

From Teena on Sun, Nov 16, 2008 at 23:39:22

Yes Mike, I have to agree with Camille ... you definitely have a special skill!!

Hey ... next time you conduct the yoga class!! I'd love to read the post on that!! :)

From Hon Ho on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 09:25:58

I run with a group called "The Runners Depot", and they have a training program for people like me that are running their first marathon. It is a 20 week program. If you want you can send me your e-mail address and I can send you the program.

Thanks Teena :)

You actually are the yoga instructor? Impressive!

From montelepsy on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 10:09:19

No. I'm barely a student. I go once a week. The class is at the gym, but the "teacher" just pops in a dvd and we all try to follow it.

I may take Teena's suggestion and take over one day, but I have to get the right outfit first.

Ohhhh you've got to take a picture of that! Ha!

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 13:39:29

AGE.

From montelepsy on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 13:41:06

I'd better break out the oil of olay then...

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 13:44:38

You are quick! Seriously, you should be a comedian!

From montelepsy on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 13:52:36

:)

I make enough people laugh trying to be a project manager.

Oil of Olay? People already think you are in high school all the time. You don't need to look any younger!

From Camille on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 09:41:04

ACtually, looking at the pictures that Rachel has posted on her blog, I would definitely have to agree with her. You look extremely young. No Oil of Olay for you!

From Kelli on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 14:28:18

Oil of Olay does not help the INSIDES, where we are all getting old, even if SOME of us do not appear to be aging on the outside.

Maybe, I dunno, what do old people take? METAMUCIL?

From Camille on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 14:30:01

They make Oil of Olay pills now.... just a thought LOL.

From kungfublonde on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 14:39:54

Mike is perpetually youthful, inside and out. It really just isn't fair. He has all the energy and the metabolism of a kid. The one thing he does like an old guy is make moany/groany noises when he gets up from sitting dwon for a while. I love that- it's proof that he's aging with me!
