Spin class. I'm getting the hang of the early morning routine, but I'm concerned I'm not getting enough sleep.  My RHR is 20% higher than usual.

For the past month I've been testing myself on Cals once a week, after starting abs class my situp score went down.  I was expecting them to get better.  Maybe they're prettier?  Next week if I don't see an improvement, I'll have a word with squirrel lady.

Have you tried going to bed sooner? I know some people can't. We all have our "bed times".

How do you get a situp score? Mine would be - something. I'm happy if I can do 1 situp. LOL It's pretty pathetic. It's probably time for me to get out the pilates tapes.

I track how well I do a generic fitness test. One component is how many situps you can do in 2 minutes.

Rachel showed me some pilates moves. They were tough. I would definitely go to a pilates class if one was offered.

Nicely done with your early morning routine!!

Make sure you are not catching a cold - that's usually what an elevated rhr means for me (or that I just can't get myself to relax well enough to get an accurate number).

How much sleep are you getting?

Sweet!!! Have you noticed that there is now a way to "edit" and "delete" comments!! NICE JOB SASHA!!!!

You are right, pilates is tough. I laugh at the "V-Sit Position". Yeah right. LOL My body doesn't balance like that.

From montelepsy on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 11:19:07

I haven't been tracking my sleep, but I get up 2.5 hours earlier than I normally wake up to go to spin. Not every day though.

I'm not familiar with the v-sit, but it sounds like I would not enjoy it.

Do you mean boat? (v-sit)

Great work out Mike- how is the ankle?

From montelepsy on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 08:10:04

My ankle is doing great, thank you! I'm just going to take it easy.

I'm glad you like the casserole, but you should really try it with eggplant. I think it gives it a nicer texture and it soaks up the flavors better than tofu.

From marion on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 15:12:54

GLad to hear the ankle is feeling better :) I am going to try for the eggplant again. The illusive eggplant! Tofu is less flavorful, but the clan ate and enjoyed. I just had a big bowl for lunch! YUMM. It may be better today!
