I would like to be able to keep up with my daughter.  The one who runs xc, not the one who's going to change the world through dance.  Although I would like to be able to dance also, so I change that to me wanting to be able to keep up with both my daughters.

Spent a half hour with Mr Yee.  He was in the desert doing Ab yoga in the sand.  With what he was wearing, I bet he was pretty uncomfortable.   I know, for different reasons than sand in my undies, I was.  I'm looking forward to doing yoga with my family in a couple weeks.  It's going to be good times :)

Weekly test

Pullups up 5 from last week (3 under PR)

Situps up 3 from last week (New PR 2 more than previous PR)

Pushups up 12 from last week (New PR 10 more than previous PR)

Everything went up.  Must be the steriods.  Or squid power.

My office building doesn't have running water nor plumbing.  In order to use the restroom we have to go to a latrine trailer outside.  On the way to the latrine is our gym trailer.  I drink a lot of water, so I spend quite a bit of my day walking back and forth to the latrine. 

I read about periodization.  It's a system where you do a lot of an exercise spread throughout the day.  So every time I have to pee, I stop at the gym trailer and do a set of something.  You do about half of what you can max.  I figure I won't do it everyday, but I'd like to do it at least 3x a week. 

Today was day one.  I picked pullups.  We'll see how it works.

Spent the day at the clinic and the evening at work.  No spin, no abs, no cals.  Just work.  Bleh!

Steriods worked.  Inflammation's down.  Off crutches :)

Day 2 of periodization experiment.  Doing a little less so I don't sweat in my work clothes and added pushups to the mix.

BJJ and chipped my front tooth.  Curses. 

Madeline can do a pullup!  Ballet builds brute strength in slim packages, but I think I'll stick to yoga.

No longer have the pimp walk, but still unable to run...

I was able to put enough weight on my foot to Spin, and then spent time with Kim who tortured my obliques today.

Mike K made some homemade spaghetti sauce and I decided to show my appreciation.  If I knew he was going to cook, then I would have skipped breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Again, I find out about dinner after I eat dinner.  I should probably stop going as soon as the DFAC opens...

Turns out I wasn't doing periodization, I was mixed up.  I'm Greasing the Groove.  Anyway, it's day 3 and I went through about a gallon of water, so that meant quite a few breaks and quite a few sets.

Foot is not cooperating.  He decided to swell on me today.  He was really behaving himself too.  Doesn't he realize that we're going to lose what little cardiovascular fitness we have?  Sometimes he's so selfish.

Got a facial today to relieve my aching shoulders.  Before you make any wild assumptions, let me explain.  A while back there was some inappropriate goings on at the beauty parlor.  They used to offer massages, but people would ask for more.  Now you can get your shoulders and neck rubbed but only if you get a facial.

So now my face feels like a baby's bottom.  I can't help pinching my own cheeks.  And my shoulders feel great.

I think I'll get my nails done next...
